Payments

Can I receive international transfers?
You can receive only SEPA Credit Transfers. We don’t execute incoming international (non-SEPA) payments.
What is Instant payment?
It’s a SEPA Credit Transfer in euros that can be made between financial institutions across 34 countries of the European Economic Area that are members of the SEPA Instant payment scheme. The payer’s money will reach the beneficiary’s account within seconds. This is a secure and convenient way to transfer money in a real time mode.
When Instant payments are executed?
The service is available 24/7, all year round, including weekends and holidays. Funds are credited instantly even if financial institutions are located in different countries.
Are there any limitations for Instant payments?
  • The payment amount should not exceed €15 000, and the payee’s financial institution has to be also a participant of SEPA Instant payment scheme.
Why I’m not able to make a SEPA Instant payment?

There can be several reasons why you can’t make a SEPA Instant payment:
1. The beneficiary bank is not a member of SEPA Instant scheme, and therefore can’t accept a SEPA Instant payment;
2. The payment amount exceeds €15 000;
3. Temporary technical issues of the SEPA Instant system.
In this case you can choose to make an ordinary SEPA payment (not Instant).

How do I know if the beneficiary’s financial institution accepts Instant payments?
When you place a beneficiary’s account number in the payment form, the system automatically checks if their financial institution can process Instant payments, and if not, the Instant payment will not be available.
In what currencies can I receive funds?

You can only receive SEPA Credit Transfers in euros from financial institutions in the EU and EEE.

However, you can receive funds from another Contomobile customer’s account in any currency available in our price list.

What payment details do I have to provide to a payer in order for a transfer to be credited to my Contomobile account?
You should provide your first name, surname and your account number in IBAN format. You can easily copy the required information from the Contomobile app or the desktop self-service portal with a single click. When you login to the main page in your app, please click on your account in the white dashboard and select “Share account details”. You can then send account details via any communication mean installed in your phone. In the self-service portal you can find your account details in the information (“i”) tab.
When will my payment be made?

SEPA Instant payments and payments to another Contomobile account are executed instantly, 24/7, with funds immediately credited to the payee’s account.

You can find detailed information about timing for all payment types in our price list.

Can I send funds internationally?
