If you have reached the age of majority, simply download the mobile app, create a user profile, and a euro account will be opened for you automatically. You can confirm your identity in two ways: using your mobile signature (for residents of Lithuania) or using a supported identity document (you will have to take a picture of your face and a picture of your identity document via the mobile app).
You can access all these features and services:
You can download the Contomobile app free of charge from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
You can top-up your euro account by making a SEPA Credit Transfer from any financial institution in the European Economic Area.
You can also receive a payment from another Contomobile customer’s account in any currency available in our price list.
An IBAN, or International Bank Account Number, is a number assigned to all accounts in EU countries plus Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein. It identifies the country, the account holder’s financial institution and the account number itself. IBANs make cross-border payments much easier.
You can find your IBAN on your Contomobile profile.
A BIC (Bank Identifier Code) is a unique code used to identify a bank or financial institution globally, and SWIFT is a standard format for BICs. Thus, a bank’s SWIFT Code is the same as its BIC. These codes are used when transferring money between financial institutions, in particular for international wire transfers or SEPA payments.
Contomobile’s SWIFT Code/BIC is UAAMLT21.
When you first open a Contomobile account, a payment transaction limit of € 1 000 a year will apply.
You can easily remove the transaction limit by completing our customer questionnaire in the app.
If you’ve forgotten your password, you have to re-register at Contomobile using your identity document. You should use the same identity document with which you registered the first time, and enter the same e-mail address and phone No. Otherwise the re-registration process may take longer.
There can be several reasons why you can’t make a SEPA Instant payment:
1. The beneficiary bank is not a member of SEPA Instant scheme, and therefore can’t accept a SEPA Instant payment;
2. The payment amount exceeds €15 000;
3. Temporary technical issues of the SEPA Instant system.
In this case you can choose to make an ordinary SEPA payment (not Instant).
You can only receive SEPA Credit Transfers in euros from financial institutions in the EU and EEE.
However, you can receive funds from another Contomobile customer’s account in any currency available in our price list.
SEPA Instant payments and payments to another Contomobile account are executed instantly, 24/7, with funds immediately credited to the payee’s account.
You can find detailed information about timing for all payment types in our price list.
Yes, you can make cross-border payments to financial institutions from almost every country in the world.
